The Bunratty Castle Banshee

Bunratty Castle has had its fair share of spooky encounters over the centuries, but one of the earliest could be counted as its most terrifying. The year was 1642, and Lady Fanshaw was spending the night in the castle when she awoke to screaming. At the moment, her eyes fixed on the window, where she could see a flame-haired young woman floating outside. This was most certainly a Banshee, and to no one’s surprise, she would discover in the morning that a cousin had died.
