Description / Profile
The majestic Table mountain located in Cape Town, South Africa is home to some interesting legends. The first is called the ghost of Verlatenbosch. The governor of Cape Town made an enemy, this enemy gifted the governor’s son a flute. The flute was laced with Leprosy and because of this, his family sent him into exile. The son ended his days in isolation on the mountain. Legend has it that as the sun goes down you can hear the mournful sound of the young gentleman playing that same flute. Light beings are said to haunt the slopes of the mountain as well.
