Description / Profile
Located in the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh City is Thuan Kieu Plaza, a complex consisting of three towers that was designed to house Hong Kong residents after the British ended their governorship of the region. The towers were supposed to be a home away from home for people who left Hong Kong after China gained control of the region. This did not come to fruition, and the tower remains mostly empty and poorly maintained. The other reason locals don’t visit is due to its reputation for being haunted, giving it the name “The Ghost Towers “. Legend has it that a man shot and killed his girlfriend in one of the restaurants that operated in the plaza. It is also said that workers were killed during the construction of the building. These ghost stories may explain some of the reasons locals leave the place so empty.
