Monarch or mirage? - The Farafra Desert

Within the vast and dry expanse Farafra Desert a former ruler of Egypt is said to wander the dunes. Akhenaten was a ruler in 1330 BC, during his time he implemented a lot of social change in Egypt, this included the dismantling of the standard faith systems within the country. This angered many priests, one of which cursed Akhenaten to wander the desert for eternity. The existence of this legend assures no locals will be seen out at night in the desert as they fear joining him in his eternal travels.
