Description / Profile
Located in Victoria Park, the Sale water tower once provided a backup water source to the township when the artesian wells failed. Water from the nearby Thomson River filled the towers. The location also housed public baths. The towers were built in 1888. Of the two towers, one is now a museum which is open Saturday’s 2 pm to 4 pm and the other is not accessible. According to the “Haunted Hills” podcast, it’s this second tower that is said to be haunted by the spirit of a child. The child spirit seemingly only occupies that tower alone. No more information is available on the subject at this time.
