The Beast of Dartmoor

The beast of Dartmoor is the name given to puma sightings in the west of county Devon. Legend has it that captive pumas were released by unscrupulous animal keepers in the 70’s and survived up until 2010 where sightings have decreased. The theory is that the pumas died off due to the harsh winter of that year.
