Description / Profile
Located in central Seoul, this palace was the birth place of 26th Korean emperor Gojong. The young Gojong lived there until he ascended the throne at 12 years old and two years later would be where he married the future Queen Min. Local story tellers claim that a scholar by the name of Min Yong-Ik went missing at the palace where he was due to give a speech. The man was never seen again and his spirit is said to roam the grounds.
