The Unknown Visitor - Utsuro-bune

We have all heard of unidentified flying objects, but what about unidentified floating objects? In 1803 on the east coast of Japan, in the Hitachi province Japanese fishermen had a very strange encounter. A young woman floated towards the beach in what was called a “hollow boat”, the young lady appeared to be aged between 18 and 20. The Fishermen attempted to communicate with her, but she spoke a language they couldn’t understand. The men brought het to their village, but she was very different and due to the language barrier could not communicate where she was from.  Due to this strangeness the men returned her to her craft and she drifted away. The men did not see her again.
